As the festive season comes around, many of us are looking for ways to spruce up dinner parties, or think of fun ways to entertain guests. If your guests like a cocktail (or two), why not host a cocktail night where each couple makes a festive drink? Or you could run your own festive masterclass using these handy recipe cards for Christmas cocktail.

Here are three festive drinks that you can add to your repertoire to enjoy as winter warmers over the cooler months.

Gingerbread martini

This may not be your classic martini, but it’s a fun festive twist that will add a little sweetness. You may even want to bypass dessert and have one of these instead. You can go one step further and bake your own gingerbread men so you’ve got a few more to decorate and snack on – and this is one part that the kids can get involved with too.

Classic snowball

This is a retro classic cocktail for Christmastime. It’s had a long history, invented in the 1940s, however it wasn’t until the 1970s that it became popular. Unsurprisingly, the snowball gets its name from the frothy white dome that appears at the top of the drink as a result of stirring the ingredients together.

Poinsettia cocktail

Poinsettias may be a classic Christmas houseplant, but this drink can become a staple in your home over the festive period. This classy Christmas cocktail is refreshing and fruity mix.
