NHS Special
As part of ITV’s NHS’ 70th anniversary celebrations, we faced our biggest ever challenge: to create a create a garden for The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. The biggest single site children’s hospital in the country, a vast empty area in front of the hospital was given to us to create the new garden. This one space is bigger than all of the domestic gardens created season 7 combined.
This project came about following letters from young patients, some of whom were victims of the nearby Manchester Arena bombing. The patients asked for an outdoor space in which they, families and the staff could find some peace away from the business hospital.
